Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is built around life-total manipulation, using life as a primary currency for velocity, card draw, and combo finishes. Led by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel, the deck converts life gain into massive bursts of card advantage. Its primary route to victory utilizes the classic infinite drain loop of Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Enduring Tenacity, instantly eliminating the entire table in a single turn. Supporting lines include the Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir storm package, alongside raw card advantage engines like Necropotence and Ad Nauseam. Early turns establish taxing artifacts and enchantments like Blind Obedience and Authority of the Consuls to slow aggressive starts and feed life totals. Efficient Orzhov removal protects the board until sufficient mana is available to assemble and execute decisive combos.
