Deck overview

This deck is a Temur token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 through 3 using efficient 2-CMC ramp, deploying Xyris on Turn 4 to begin drawing cards and creating 1/1 Snake tokens on Turn 5. On Turn 6, the deck leverages forced-draw spells and wheels such as Windfall and Winds of Change to create massive bursts of 20 or more Snake tokens in a single turn. These tokens are converted into victory on Turn 7 via overrun effects like Triumph of the Hordes and Biomass Mutation, or through direct damage from enter-the-battlefield burn engines like Impact Tremors, Molten Gatekeeper, and Goblin Bombardment. Because the deck foregoes tutors and fast mana, it relies on explosive card velocity to assemble its synergies, protected by efficient defensive interaction.
