Commander: Cloud, Planet's Champion

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Cloud, Planet's Champion is a Boros equipment voltron commander built to turn one equipped swing into lethal commander damage through double strike and indestructible. The deck's primary plan is to stack equipment on Cloud, reduce equip costs with Astor, Bruenor, Puresteel, and then finish with uninterrupted combat steps. The secondary plan is an infinite-combat engine built around Godo, Bandit Warlord (or Aurelia, the Warleader) plus Helm of the Host, which amasses hasty tokens and extra combats to attack all players. The commander's pseudo-hexproof via Champion's Helm and protection effects let the voltron line survive, while a suite of instant-speed removal and recursion keeps the opponent from breaking up the setup.
