Deck overview

This deck executes a classic Mono-Black control and Big Mana strategy led by Korlash, Heir to Blackblade. The game plan revolves around accelerating Swamp counts through land fetchers, mana doublers like Crypt Ghast and Nirkana Revenant, and legendary land engines like Cabal Coffers and Cabal Stronghold. In the early turns, the deck deploys efficient mana rocks, tutors, and low-cost removal to stabilize the board. In the mid-game, card engines like Necropotence, Ad Nauseam, and Erebos, God of the Dead ensure a full grip of answers and gas. The deck threatens victory along two primary axes: channeling immense mana into a table-killing Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate, or leveraging Korlash with equipment like Lashwrithe, Blackblade Reforged, or a surprise Hatred for sudden commander damage eliminations.
