Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck executes a focused midrange poison strategy that eliminates all three opponents simultaneously through proliferation. The game plan opens with aggressive early infect creatures or universal poison spells like Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis to seed poison counters on every opponent by Turn 3. Deploying Atraxa on Turn 4 establishes a guaranteed end-step proliferation engine. From Turn 5 onward, the deck rapidly escalates poison totals using force multipliers like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and spell-based proliferation. A dense package of efficient one-mana protection spells shields key creatures from opposing removal, while cheap countermagic and spot removal disrupt critical opposing threats. Because poison counters cannot be removed from players once applied, the deck turns every proliferate trigger into permanent, non-interactive clock advancement that closes games by Turn 7 without relying on combat damage alone.
