Deck overview

This mono-blue deck is a draw-go tempo and token swarm strategy helmed by Lyra, Tolarian Archangel. The game plan revolves around casting multi-card draw spells at instant speed to reliably trigger Lyra's ability, creating a 3/3 flying Angel token whenever you draw three or more cards in a turn. Supported by redundant token engines like Alandra, Sky Dreamer and Talrand, Sky Summoner, the deck quickly builds a lethal airborne army while keeping mana available for flexible countermagic and interaction such as Counterspell and Archmage's Charm. Card-draw doublers like Teferi's Ageless Insight and combat engines like Reconnaissance Mission keep your hand full, while Psychosis Crawler and Psychic Corrosion offer potent non-combat win conditions. The deck excels at controlling the stack and winning through evasive pressure, though it remains vulnerable to resolved sweepers and struggles to remove resolved noncreature permanents.
