Wisdom, Not Indolence by antiasama

Format: Commander

Commander: Alisaie Leveilleur and Alphinaud Leveilleur

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius "second spell" deck is helmed by the partner pair Alisaie Leveilleur and Alphinaud Leveilleur, who together form a compact engine: Alisaie discounts your second spell each turn by {2}, and Alphinaud draws a card whenever you cast it. The entire 99 is built around the Flurry mechanic - a dense package of payoffs that fire on your second spell each turn, from token generators like Monastery Mentor, Clarion Spirit, and Cosmogrand Zenith to value pieces like Storm of Saruman, Taigam, Master Opportunist, and The Legend of Yangchen. The deck controls the table with a strong counterspell suite, pillowfort in Ghostly Prison and Propaganda, and card-advantage engines in Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, and The Council of Four. It wins primarily through Approach of the Second Sun (tutored and recurred), backed by Temporal Manipulation extra turns and an overwhelming token army.
