Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic +1/+1 counters deck built around The Astonishing Ant-Man. The main plan is to turn card draws into counters, then either cash them in for a swarm of Insect tokens or win through Simic Ascendancy's growth-counter threshold. Lyla, Holographic Assistant and Pensive Professor form the deck's primary draw-loop engine, with Simic Ascendancy as the outlet, and Triumph of the Hordes is the backup mass-infect finisher. Ant-Man, Colony Commander acts as a hidden secondary commander, generating an Insect every time it puts a counter on a creature. The Astonishing Ant-Man's role is to convert early draw spells into a counter stockpile and a token army, but the deck's best lines do not strictly require him.
