Meria Midrange by AigleFess

Format: Commander

Commander: Meria, Scholar of Antiquity

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Meria, Scholar of Antiquity is the engine of a red-green artifact deck that turns cheap nontoken artifacts into mana and card advantage. The primary plan is to deploy Meria with a stable of rocks and baubles, use Kuldotha Forgemaster, Goblin Welder, and Scrap Welder to cheat large artifact creatures into play, and grind value through Daretti, Trading Post, Mystic Forge, and Unwinding Clock. Mycosynth Lattice amplifies artifact synergies and can be paired with mass artifact wipes as a reset. The hidden commander of the 99 is Daretti, Scrap Savant, whose recursion and card filtering keep the deck running after Meria is answered. The deck wins through combat damage from Triplicate Titan, Wurmcoil Engine, Karn, Legacy Reforged, and Darksteel Juggernaut, rather than through a compact infinite combo.
