Deck overview

This mono-black deck revolves around aggressive, symmetrical hand disruption paired with high-impact attrition payoffs. Commanded by Tinybones, Trinket Thief, the strategy quickly establishes an early card advantage engine by turning every discarded card into extra card draw. The deck uses low-cost discard creatures like Burglar Rat and persistent enchantments like Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, and Oppression to systematically empty opposing hands. Once opponents are forced into topdeck mode, punishing rack effects such as Liliana's Caress, Megrim, Shrieking Affliction, and Quest for the Nihil Stone rapidly drain life totals. High-end threats like Tergrid, God of Fright and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal convert opposing discards into battlefield dominance, while Tinybones, Trinket Thief's activated ability and Torment of Hailfire provide definitive finishers. The deck excels at crippling combo and control strategies by denying resources, though it remains vulnerable to early board-wide sweepers and fast aggressive starts.
