Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy built around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. It accelerates mana on early turns with efficient mana dorks before deploying undercosted, high-power creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus. These massive creatures reduce Ghalta's casting cost to just two green mana as early as Turn 4. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield, the deck draws cards in large quantities through power-based card draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. It closes out the game through overwhelming combat damage, leveraging trample, power doublers like Unnatural Growth, and team-wide overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede. While the deck possesses strong board velocity and robust backup threats, its reliance on heavy permanent presence makes it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes.
