Deck overview

This deck executes a controlling Stax and Proliferate strategy helmed by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. It establishes early tempo suppression using premier tax and enter-tapped pieces like Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Archon of Emeria, and Blind Obedience. Once opponents' initial development is delayed, the deck taps down key threats using targeted stun spells such as Freeze in Place, Lost in the Maze, and Involuntary Cooldown. Deploying Atraxa on Turn 4 initiates a relentless engine that proliferates stun counters every end step, permanently immobilizing opposing creatures. The lock reaches peak oppression with Fear of Sleep Paralysis, which completely prevents stun counters from leaving opposing permanents. As opponents are drained of resources and combat capability, the deck draws cards via Generous Patron and Verity Circle while closing the game through evasive aerial beatdown and widespread damage from Mjölnir, Storm Hammer.
