Deck overview

This five-color deck is a 'tribal tribal' synergy engine that leverages the changeling mechanic to unify the most powerful kindred payoffs in Magic. Commanded by Morophon, the Boundless, every shapeshifter in the list counts simultaneously as an Ally, Ninja, Dwarf, Rogue, Elf, Dragon, Assassin, and Elemental. Early turns focus on mana fixing and deploying cheap changelings like Changeling Outcast and Mothdust Changeling. Mid-game sequencing deploys explosive cross-tribal engines such as Harabaz Druid, Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Risen Reef, and Kindred Discovery to generate substantial mana and card flow. The primary path to victory involves amassing creatures, casting universal buffs such as Coat of Arms, Mirror Entity, or Morophon, the Boundless, and leveraging one-sided wipes like Raise the Palisade to push lethal combat damage across multiple rotations. Although vulnerable to mass sweepers due to light countermagic, the deck uses powerful recovery cards like Patriarch's Bidding to rebuild rapidly.
