Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Ninja combat tempo strategy spearheaded by Splinter, Radical Rat. Splinter serves as a trigger-doubling force multiplier for all Ninja triggers while providing on-demand evasion. The deck establishes early board presence using cheap evasive creatures and utility ninjas like Prosperous Thief and April O'Neil, Live on the Scene to accumulate mana advantage and card draw. Midgame development pivots toward devastating combat payoffs, highlighted by Shredder, Shadow Master and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, which cut opponents' life totals in half repeatedly or burn the table through top-deck reveals. A robust defensive shell featuring efficient countermagic, spot removal, and sweepers like Tragic Arrogance and Vanquish the Horde ensures the deck can disrupt opposing engines while engineering clear attack lanes.
