Deck overview

This is a Mono-Black Aristocrats build, helmed by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The plan is to use Ayara's enters-the-battlefield drain ability as a low-cost, repeatable win condition while assembling a recursive board of cheap black beaters, sacrifice outlets, and drain effects. The deck generates card advantage through recursion (Bloodghast, Dread Return) and draw engines (Castle Locthwain, Morbid Opportunist), then converts that advantage into life-loss pressure through pain pieces, effects of the type "when a creature dies", and token producers. It closes the game with inevitability that grinds each opponent to zero on life, frequently with an "aristocratic" turn: sacrifice, reanimation, trigger, sacrifice.
