Deck overview

This deck operates as a classic Mono-Red Dragon Stompy strategy that paradoxically designates Tiamat as its commander despite running an almost exclusively red mana base of basic Mountains. Because the deck lacks reliable access to white, blue, black, and green mana, Tiamat remains stranded in the command zone. Instead, the deck functions entirely through its 99, utilizing mana rocks and tribal cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant to accelerate into massive flying threats. Win conditions center on overwhelming aerial boards generated by Utvara Hellkite and Lathliss, Dragon Queen, amplified by direct damage engines such as Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge. While capable of dealing heavy combat damage and wiping smaller boards with damage-based sweepers, the deck suffers from minimal card selection, an inability to cast its commander, and vulnerability to opposing board wipes.
