Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos combo-midrange build focused on Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug provides an indestructible 8/7 flying threat with haste that generates Treasure tokens whenever he takes noncombat damage. The primary win condition equips Smaug with Blazing Sunsteel; any damage dealt to Smaug initiates an infinite loop of damage triggers that creates infinite Treasures and deals lethal direct damage to all opponents in a single turn. As an alternative route, the deck uses massive damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act to instantly generate 13 Treasures from Smaug, fueling a lethal Torment of Hailfire or triggering aristocrat drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Reckless Fireweaver. Strong ritual velocity, black tutors, and efficient free removal like Deadly Rollick and Snuff Out give the deck speed and resilience.
