Deck overview

This deck utilizes Gisa, Glorious Resurrector to turn opposing creature forces into disposable attacking armies. The primary strategy controls the battlefield through dense, redundant edict effects such as Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Dictate of Erebos. When opposing creatures die, Gisa exiles them and returns them under your control on your next upkeep with decayed. The deck leverages heavy aristocrat synergies via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Warren Soultrader to generate mana, draw cards, and drain opponents as stolen and native creatures die in combat. Powerful mono-black mana engines like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Pitiless Plunderer fuel decisive closers including Torment of Hailfire, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Bolas's Citadel. Even if Gisa is removed, the deck easily pivots to a standalone aristocrat drain plan.
