Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Zask, Skittering Swarmlord to turn the graveyard into a renewable resource hub for Insect creatures and lands. The deck accelerates through a heavy land base and land-sacrifice ramp spells, quickly filling the graveyard through dredge, surveil, and self-mill effects. Once Zask enters the battlefield, every Insect that dies recycles back into the library while milling additional cards, allowing the deck to replay utility creatures and continuously rebuild its board. The primary win condition relies on overwhelming the table with combat damage using swarms of Insect tokens generated by Scute Swarm, Hornet Queen, and Izoni, Thousand-Eyed, amplified by +1/+1 counters from Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest or evasion from Amzu, Swarm's Hunger. The deck also features strong interactive resilience, using repeatable Insect removal and mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding to recover swiftly from sweepers and close out games.
