Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Golgari aristocrats combo deck centered on Gorma, the Gullet. Gorma provides a unique static counter-replacement effect: whenever a creature dies, nontoken creatures enter with additional +1/+1 counters that turn. When paired with a persist creature like Putrid Goblin and any free sacrifice outlet, the returning creature enters with both a -1/-1 counter and a +1/+1 counter. State-based actions cancel both counters immediately, enabling an infinite death-and-sacrifice loop. Supported by format-tier fast mana, creature tutors, and Protean Hulk packages, the deck consistently threatens immediate table kills on Turn 3 via Altar of Dementia, Blasting Station, or life-drain aristocrats like Blood Artist.
