Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov Voltron strategy commanded by Winter Soldier, Icy Assassin. It focuses on rapidly deploying cheap Equipment and free-equip enablers to scale commander damage and eliminate opponents one by one. With a low casting cost of two mana and built-in vigilance and menace, Winter Soldier applies early pressure starting on Turn 3. The deck utilizes powerful stat boosters such as Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, and Wrecking Ball Arm, combined with double strike multipliers like Duelist's Heritage and Silverblade Paladin, to present lethal commander damage as early as Turn 4. To sustain velocity, engines like Puresteel Paladin, Sram, Senior Edificer, and Mask of Memory draw fresh cards with every equipment played or combat connection. An extensive suite of low-cost protection spells and flash equipment keeps the commander safe from opposing interaction, allowing the deck to close out the game by Turn 6.
