Deck overview

This deck is a Boros spellslinger and combo-control engine commanded by Lorehold, the Historian. Lorehold grants every instant and sorcery in your hand miracle {2} and provides a discard-and-draw trigger on every opponent's upkeep. The primary strategy uses this engine alongside top-deck replacement pieces like Library of Leng, Penance, and Scroll Rack to repeatedly cast Approach of the Second Sun at a massive discount. By casting Approach for its {2} miracle cost on an opponent's upkeep, returning it to hand with Reprieve or Lapse of Certainty, and recasting it on the next opponent's upkeep, the deck secures a win across a single turn cycle. A robust suite of free and low-cost interaction, including Deflecting Swat, Bolt Bend, and Sunforger packages, shields the combo from opposing interaction. When the commander is unavailable, the deck pivots to big-mana game-enders such as Storm Herd, Insurrection, and Rise of the Eldrazi, hardcast or reanimated via Mizzix's Mastery and Quintorius, Loremaster.
