Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck harnesses Obeka, Splitter of Seconds to multiply 'beginning of upkeep' triggers through combat damage. The primary game plan accelerates Obeka onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4, grants her unblockability using cards like Aqueous Form, Brotherhood Regalia, or Whispersilk Cloak, and attacks to generate additional upkeep steps. These extra phases trigger powerful permanents like Court of Ambition, Twilight Prophet, Court of Ire, and the +1/+1 counter Rings multiple times per turn. Obeka quickly snowballs in power while stripping opponents' hands, draining life totals, and generating massive token armies. The deck features robust protection for Obeka through eight dedicated equipment and aura pieces, along with flexible removal and board wipes. Without fast mana or infinite combos, the list operates as a focused, highly synergistic bracket-standard deck that creates overwhelming board states and closes games around Turn 7.
