Deck overview

This deck utilizes Codie, Ravenous Codex at the helm of a five-color midrange strategy built entirely around the Prepare mechanic. Rather than traditional instant and sorcery heavy lists, it deploys creatures that enter the battlefield prepared with adventure-style spells. Codie, Ravenous Codex duplicates every prepared spell cast, doubling ramp, token creation, card advantage, and removal. Repeated blinks from cards like Teleportation Circle and Conjurer's Closet re-trigger the prepare status on key creatures, while top-end Elder Dragons like Quandrix, the Proof and Lorehold, the Historian provide evasive pressure and cascade triggers. The game plan focuses on assembling an expansive board of tokens and utility creatures, leveraging doubled pump spells such as Quill-Blade Laureate // Twofold Intent to close the game through combat across multiple turns. While resilient against single-target disruption thanks to redundant recursive pieces, the strategy is vulnerable to sweepers and relies on sustained combat steps to win.
