Deck overview

Katara is a UB tempo-control deck that turns a dense Lesson package into incremental card advantage and a growing commander. The primary plan is to play Katara early, stock the graveyard with Lessons, use instant-speed control and draw engines to survive, then finish with unblockable/double-strike commander damage. Secondary paths are graveyard-mill via Exhibition Tidecaller, Master Pakku, and Riverchurn Monument, plus disruptive Lessons. Gran-Gran acts as a support engine rather than a hidden commander, discounting noncreature spells once the Lesson threshold is met. The deck is interaction-heavy but lacks a compact combo, so it wins through patient pressure and attrition.
