A Fair Thrasios Deck That You Can Take to Parties! by weeffee

Format: Commander

Commander: Vial Smasher the Fierce and Thrasios, Triton Hero

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck combines the aggressive mana generation of Firebending creatures with the command zone card advantage and mana sinks provided by Thrasios and Vial Smasher. Early ramp spells and mana dorks establish the manabase while cost reducers like Training Grounds and Biomancer Familiar discount Thrasios activations. Firebending attackers generate massive bursts of red mana during combat, which are stored using mana retention pieces like Horizon Stone, Kruphix, and Leyline Tyrant. This mana is funneled through Thrasios to dig through the deck, triggering Vial Smasher burn, and culminating in lethal finishers such as Crackle with Power, Torment of Hailfire, or drawing the entire library into Jace, Wielder of Mysteries.
