Azula by user3363360

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula turns combat into a spell-copy engine: she banks two red, then copies every spell cast while attacking. The deck chaining cheap instants/sorceries through magecraft payoffs-Ashling, Young Pyromancer, Black Waltz No. 3, Longshot-to generate advantage and damage. It can pivot to two compact combos: the Flare/Narset's Reversal/Twinning Staff copy loop, or Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring for infinite mana into a copied Lightning Bolt/Storm King's Thunder. Etali and Planetarium of Wan Shi Tong provide free-cast threat lines. Despite Grixis's typical fragility, the deck has enough interaction and independent threats to pivot if the commander is stopped.
