Deck overview

This mono-blue deck is led by Bilbo, Thief in the Night, blending spellslinger velocity with evasive combat triggers and artifact synergies. The primary strategy involves deploying Bilbo early, protecting him with shroud or hexproof equipment such as Bilbo's Ring and Cloak and Dagger, and leveraging his attack trigger to cast instants, sorceries, and artifacts directly from the graveyard at a {1} mana discount. Deep cantrip velocity and looters fill the graveyard while triggering token creators like The Mechanist, Aerial Artisan and Wan Shi Tong, All-Knowing. The deck transitions into a lethal closing phase around Turn 6 by casting Candlekeep Inspiration to massively pump its evasive creatures based on the number of spells in graveyard and exile, or by stealing opposing win conditions using Bribery and Reins of Power. Robust countermagic and defensive enchantments ensure resilience against opposing threats while grinding out victory across multiple combat steps.
