Deck overview

This Golgari deck is helmed by Dina, Soul Steeper and focuses on an aristocrats strategy powered by lifegain and Pest token generation. The deck generates small 1/1 Pest tokens through cards like Sedgemoor Witch, Blight Mound, Lluwen, Exchange Student, and Pest Infestation, which trigger life gain whenever they die or attack. These life gain triggers are weaponized by Dina and redundant drain permanents like Bastion of Remembrance, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Blood Artist to incrementally drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck features dependable card selection, efficient removal in Assassin's Trophy and Mortality Spear, and mana acceleration through rocks and mana dorks. While it lacks compact infinite combos, its high engine redundancy allows it to rebuild quickly after removal and close games by Turn 8 through steady, compounding life-drain triggers.
