Vivi by TheMfWmd

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck wins by casting many cheap instants and sorceries to trigger Vivi Ornitier and a suite of pingers that deal damage to each opponent. Vivi grows with each noncreature spell and provides a once-per-turn burst of mana equal to his power, which fuels longer chains. Secondary payoffs like Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Aria of Flame, and Coruscation Mage stack damage, while Thousand-Year Storm, Grapeshot, and Chandra's Ignition provide explosive finishes. Ral planeswalkers, Archmage Emeritus, and Rhystic Study keep cards flowing, and cost reducers let you chain spells. The deck controls the table with counters and removal until it can storm off in one big turn.
