New Untitled Deck by Jonny

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a Azorius (WU) control-combo build helmed by Bard, King of Dale, whose ability doubles every card draw you would take (except the first each draw step) and doubles all tokens you create. The primary strategy is to deploy Bard as a force multiplier, then use cheap draw engines (Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, Consecrated Sphinx) and wheels (Windfall) to fuel a massive card advantage engine. The deck wins through one of three main lines: Laboratory Maniac after drawing the library, Psychosis Crawler pinging opponents for each doubled draw, or Approach of the Second Sun digging through the deck twice. A robust package of free counterspells, instant-speed protection, and stax pieces (Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Drannith Magistrate, Myrel, Shield of Argive) protects the game plan while slowing opponents. The commander is the glue that accelerates every draw and token, but the deck can still function (at reduced efficiency) without it.
