Deck overview

This Bant list pairs The Fifth Doctor with Susan Foreman as a tap-untap value and Vehicles deck. The core loop is simple: develop a board of creatures, tap them for mana (via Cryptolith Rite, Enduring Vitality, Song of Freyalise, or Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter) and tap-payoffs, then let The Fifth Doctor put +1/+1 counters on and untap every creature that neither attacked nor entered that turn. Those same bodies crew a dense Vehicle suite-Cybership, Thunderhawk Gunship, The Indomitable, Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought, TARDIS, and friends-for evasive combat damage, card advantage, and theft. Counters matter beyond size: Danny Pink, Dusk Legion Duelist, and Abzan Falconer turn the growth into draw and flying. The deck wins primarily through overwhelming Vehicle combat rather than a fast combo finish, with light disruption and a high land count supporting a grindy midgame snowball.
