Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Treasure and Dragon Midrange deck commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The strategy converts rapid Treasure generation into card velocity, massive mana advantage, and high-impact aerial threats. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks, low-cost Treasure producers like Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Kalain, Reclusive Painter, and token enhancers like Academy Manufactor or Xorn. Once Smaug, Wicked Worm enters the battlefield, every spell cast with Treasure mana cantrips, sustaining full grip size while expanding the board. The deck transitions into a lethal clock around Turn 6 by resolving devastating Dragons such as Ancient Copper Dragon, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and Scourge of the Throne, or threatening an alternate win condition via Hellkite Tyrant. Protection pieces like Deflecting Swat and recursion like Reanimate ensure the deck can maintain momentum and close the game by Turn 8.
