Deck overview

This deck is a Boros tempo-attrition list commanded by Zidane, Tantalus Thief that weaponizes opponents' creatures against them. Its primary strategy revolves around casting temporary theft spells to attack opponents with their own threats, then either blinking those creatures with spells like Cloudshift and Conjurer's Closet to gain permanent control or letting them return to trigger Zidane's Treasure generation. In the mid-to-late game, the deck converts accumulated Treasure mana into devastating mass-theft spells like Insurrection and Hideous Taskmaster, closing out the table with overwhelming combat damage and sacrifice flings from Brion Stoutarm. While the deck excels at creature-centric combat parity breaking, its performance is tightly tethered to opponents playing high-impact creatures and faces friction from light early-game ramp and a lack of countermagic.
