Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It focuses on weaponizing -1/-1 counter distribution to simultaneously control the board, draw cards, and drain opponents' life totals. The deck leverages high synergy between counter distributors like Carnifex Demon, Soul Snuffers, and Midnight Banshee and token generators such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs. As counters are placed, Auntie Ool, Cursewretch turns self-blight and combat into massive card advantage while steadily eroding enemy life totals whenever opposing creatures are targeted or affected by ward costs. Secondary engines like Kulrath Knight and Necroskitter convert counter placement into complete creature suppression and board theft. Without relying on dedicated fast mana or tutors, the deck thrives on compounding card draw, board-wide attrition, and aristocrat drain triggers to overwhelm all three opponents by the mid-game.
