Commander: Dungeon Delver and Rasaad yn Bashir

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Azorius deck pairs Rasaad yn Bashir with the Dungeon Delver Background to create a toughness-matters pillowfort strategy centered on the initiative and monarch. High-toughness walls and defenders assign combat damage equal to toughness via Rasaad yn Bashir, High Alert, Plagon, Lord of the Beach, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster, while initiative enablers and dungeon venturers generate incremental value and room-doubling from the Background. A dense pillowfort and monarch suite (Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Courts, Champions of Minas Tirith) keeps the table at bay while the board grows. Primary wins come from doubled-toughness combat swings once initiative is secured; secondary paths include monarch attrition and dungeon payoffs like Tomb of Horrors Adventurer and Sarevok's Tome. The deck is midrange value-control that grinds rather than explodes.
