Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck is led by Leonardo da Vinci, who serves as both a cost-cheating reanimation engine and an overrun finisher. The game plan focuses on casting Leonardo early, looting to discard expensive game-ending artifacts such as Portal to Phyrexia, Darksteel Forge, or Cybermen Squadron, and copying them as 0/2 flying Thopters for only three mana. As the board develops, the deck accumulates a swarm of artifact tokens through Sai, Master Thopterist and Simulacrum Synthesizer while establishing protection layers via Padeem, Consul of Innovation and Cryptothrall. Once an aerial fleet is established and hand size is replenished with draw engines, Leonardo activates his five-mana ability to scale every Thopter's power and toughness to hand size, dealing lethal airborne combat damage across the table over two turn cycles.
