Deck overview

This Abzan deck blends Cat and Zombie tribal strategies under Olag and Miau, New Friends. The core engine generates creature tokens of both types to trigger mutual +1/+1 counters and passive end-step life drain against all opponents based on your tapped creatures. Supported by reliable early ramp and potent token multipliers such as Doubling Season, Cathars' Crusade, and Parallel Lives, the deck quickly builds a dense board presence. Card velocity is maintained through steady engines like Caretaker's Talent and Cryptbreaker. However, the deck lacks direct tutors to assemble specific pieces on demand and features very little stack protection or anti-sweeper defense like Heroic Intervention or Teferi's Protection. As a result, its primary route to victory is resilient, compounding creature combat and passive burn that typically closes games around Turn 8 across two full opponent response cycles.
