Filthy Colony by Edelritter91

Format: Commander

Commander: Rat King, Verminister

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black Rat tribal swarm deck helmed by Rat King, Verminister. The core plan is to flood the battlefield with copies of Rat Colony (24 of them), buff the swarm with lords like Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm and Chronicle of Victory, and chain-cast Rats via Thrumming Stone's ripple ability. The commander provides two critical services: a "Disappear" trigger that generates Rat tokens whenever a permanent leaves the battlefield, and an activated ability that sacrifices three Rats to mass-reanimate every copy of a creature card from the graveyard - a devastating way to rebuild a full Rat Colony board. The deck finishes through overwhelming combat damage, incremental drain from Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and The Meathook Massacre, or a huge Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion swing. A deep tutor suite and heavy graveyard recursion give it strong consistency.
