Deck overview

Gev, Scaled Scorch leads a Rakdos aggro-burn deck that blends Lizard kindred synergy with scaling group slug damage. The deck establishes early board presence with low-cost Lizards and life-loss enablers, allowing Gev to distribute +1/+1 counters to every newly entering creature once an opponent loses life. As the board expands, pingers like Agate Instigator and Spitfire Lagac apply steady life loss across all opponents simultaneously. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by resolving potent damage amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, and Fiery Emancipation. These force multipliers turn small incremental pings into catastrophic damage bursts. While the deck boasts high functional redundancy and swift recovery due to low mana values, it lacks stack interaction and enchantment removal, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes. When uninterrupted, it steadily overwhelms the table through relentless combat pressure and amplified noncombat burn.
