Deck overview

This Golgari Elf deck focuses on swarming the battlefield with low-cost Elves to empower Lathril, Blade of the Elves. Lathril leverages evasion equipment like Alpha Authority, Vorrac Battlehorns, and Whispersilk Cloak to safely connect in combat, creating 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens proportional to damage dealt. Explosive mana engines such as Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, and Marwyn, the Nurturer accelerate the deployment of lords, card draw creatures, and game-ending anthems. The deck closes games around Turn 6–7 through massive overrun effects like Beastmaster Ascension, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Unnatural Growth, or through non-combat life loss from Shaman of the Pack and Lathril's tap ability. While resilient to targeted removal thanks to hexproof equipment and graveyard recursion, the deck must navigate sorcery-speed interaction and mass board sweepers.
