Oloro, Ageless Ascetic pilots a classic Esper lifegain-control build that barely needs to leave the command zone to function. The engine is enchantment-based card advantage and taxation - Necropotence, Rhystic Study, Phyrexian Arena, Smothering Tithe - backed by a pillowfort of Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Norn's Annex, and Sphere of Safety to buy time. The primary kill is the drain loop of Exquisite Blood plus any lifegain payoff: Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Defiant Bloodlord, or Marauding Blight-Priest. Oloro's command-zone upkeep life gain is the cheapest switch to flip the loop. Zur the Enchanter acts as a hidden commander for low-cost enchantments, while Aetherflux Reservoir, Expropriate, and Blatant Thievery offer independent finishing angles.
