The King under the Mountain 🏔️ by user3494365

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros Dwarf deck wins by turning every Dwarf into a Treasure and every Treasure into a pump bonus. Thorin, King of Durin's Folk is both the anthem and the Treasure engine: other Dwarves enter, make artifacts, then grow for each artifact token. Magda, Brazen Outlaw is the hidden engine in the 99, turning tapped Dwarves into Treasures and tutoring Goldspan Dragon or Hellkite Tyrant. The normal plan is to develop a Dwarf board, bank Treasures, then finish with a massed attack using Hammers of Moradin's myriad or Dain of the Ancient Halls' drain, protected by Akroma's Will. There is no true hidden commander, but Magda plays that role.
