Deck overview

This is a mono-green +1/+1 counter-themed midrange deck helmed by Kodama of the West Tree. The commander turns every modified creature (counters, Auras, Equipment) into a repeatable ramp spell that fetches a basic land on combat damage, simultaneously accelerating mana and enabling landfall synergies. The deck floods the board with hydras and other counter-generating creatures, then doubles and triples those counters via effects like Hardened Scales and Branching Evolution. It wins through overwhelming combat damage - enormous tramplers like Kalonian Hydra and Mossborn Hydra backed by deathtouch from Ohran Frostfang quickly eliminate opponents. Landfall triggers from Evolution Sage and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower provide additional counter proliferation and growth. The plan is linear but redundant: play creatures, add counters, turn them sideways.
