Deck overview

This mono-blue combo-control deck uses Bruvac the Grandiloquent to double all mill effects, turning half-library mill spells into instant table-wide eliminations. Its creature base is built around 27 copies of Persistent Petitioners, giving the deck extraordinary operational consistency. With Bruvac in play, tapping four Petitioners mills 24 cards from a target player, while Thrumming Stone can ripple the entire advisor army onto the battlefield in a single turn. The deck also features the lethal two-card combo of Painter's Servant and Grindstone alongside catastrophic sorceries like a kicked Maddening Cacophony, Cut Your Losses, and Traumatize. A robust mono-blue interaction suite featuring Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Mana Drain defends the combo, while Back to Basics heavily punishes greedy multi-color mana bases. The deck reliably creates game-ending mill states around Turn 6, forcing opponents to lose on their subsequent draw steps.
