Deck overview

This Dimir cEDH deck centers on the format's premier win condition: Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Commanded by Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator, the deck utilizes its commander for early card filtering, incidental life drain, and a built-in flashback safety valve to replay critical instants and sorceries directly from the graveyard. The mana base is powered by format-ceiling acceleration including Chrome Mox, Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and Dark Ritual, reliably enabling Turn 2 or Turn 3 victory attempts. A world-class tutor suite eliminates variance, while backup lines in Laboratory Maniac, Doomsday, and the infinite Duskmantle Guildmage plus Mindcrank loop provide resilient secondary paths. Dense free interaction, such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Pact of Negation, protects the winning turn while asymmetric hate pieces like Opposition Agent and Dauthi Voidwalker actively disrupt opposing strategies.
