Deck overview

Cloud, Midgar Mercenary is a mono-white Equipment deck with one clear goal: find Hand of Vecna, equip it to Cloud, and let Cloud's double-trigger ability turn one hit into a commander-damage knockout. The deck combines an ultra-low curve with efficient white removal and protection spells. Secondary plans include equipment-based card advantage (Mask of Memory, Skullclamp), token generation (Kemba, Usher, Crawling Chorus), and free-equip support from Ardenn and Forge Anew. Ardenn effectively acts as a hidden commander in the 99. There are no infinite combos; the engine is the commander's Equipment tutor and doubled triggers, so protecting Cloud is the primary tactical concern.
