Deck overview

This Golgari deck is centered on Yargle and Multani, utilizing its massive printed 18 power to execute aggressive Voltron eliminations. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost ramp such as Sol Ring, Llanowar Elves, and Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary to cast the commander ahead of curve by Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck equips or enchants Yargle with redundant evasion or combat amplifiers like Fireshrieker, Brotherhood Regalia, Whispersilk Cloak, or Gaea's Embrace, enabling one-shot lethal commander damage. Opponents are eliminated sequentially across consecutive turns, closing the game around Turn 7. Secondary routes include massive mana generation via Selvala, Heart of the Wilds into Exsanguinate, self-scaling threats like Heroes' Bane, and the compact two-card infinite combo of Chain of Smog and Witherbloom Apprentice. The deck features solid targeted removal and protective equipment like Mithril Coat, but lacks stack interaction and proactive stax, leaving its multi-turn combat finish vulnerable to well-timed opponent interaction.
