Deck overview

This deck is a Bant political control and forced-combat strategy commanded by Kros, Defense Contractor. The game plan revolves around manipulating various types of counters—+1/+1, shield, stun, and palliation counters—to trigger Kros's ability, which taps opposing creatures and forces them into combat with trample via goad. By layering combat taxes like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer, the deck ensures that opposing threats cannot turn toward you, forcing your opponents to eliminate one another in mutual combat. Proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Flux Channeler, and Inexorable Tide amplify this disruption across the entire board. Once the table is thinned to a single opponent, the deck transitions to a closeout using an alternate win condition such as Simic Ascendancy, a lethal strike from Sin, Unending Cataclysm or Crackdown Construct, or a massive token from Body of Research.
