Deck overview

This deck is a Temur stompy and value engine focused on mutating Illuna, Apex of Wishes to cheat high-cost permanents directly onto the battlefield. The early game focuses on deploying 1-2 CMC ramp spells and cheap non-Human creatures such as Ilysian Caryatid, Coiling Oracle, and Parcelbeast. By Turn 5, the deck casts Illuna for its mutate cost, exiling through the library to put bombs like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, One with the Multiverse, Auspicious Starrix, or Rampaging Baloths directly into play. The deck scales its advantage by copying key threats with Rite of Replication, Springheart Nantuko, and Extravagant Replication, or by stacking further mutate triggers. While the deck boasts robust ramp and high individual threat density, it lacks specific tutor access and fast combo finishes. Victory is achieved through multi-turn combat pressure across Turns 6 through 8, supported by targeted bounce spells, fight effects, and selective countermagic.
